Making Best of the Worst: Vases Inspired by Seismograph Readings
A designer from Frankfurt Jonathan Radetz has made the best of the worst thing – earthquake. He took the seismograph recordings of two earthquakes in Italy (2012) and New Zealand (2011) and created two porcelain vases that were shaped after the readings. Due to the shape of those readings the vases turned out asymmetrical and irregular.
The vases look very modern thanks to their shapes and matte texture. But they would probably belong in an eclectic interior full of mid-century furniture and bright prints and patterns.
