Villa Midgård by DAPstockholm
Located in the wilderness in the urban Stockholm, the Villa Midgård residence is an amazing construction that respects both privacy and natural landscape. The 300 square construction is featuring seven distinct facades, all according to the wishes of the client. Specifically, clients wanted:
“…secluded house with a maintenance‐free facade, a sense of ceiling height and a master bedroom with the benefit of morning sun. They also wished for a solution where they could open up larger windows toward the scenery and have a sheltered space where they could sit and listen to the pouring rain.”
The house blends in perfectly with the landscape of region, and its weird complex construction is housing different level of the residence, providing both security and privacy. The second flour hovers over the swimming pool, terrace and car garage. The swimming pool is something so extraordinary, made from dark concrete reminiscent of a deep forest lake. The materials used in the construction, are also very respective of nature, mostly of natural origin: walnut, ceramic granite and marble. Isn’t that a perfect wilderness retreat?
