Glass is a very delicate surface and its cleaning should be done delicately as well. There are a lot of different methods of glass cleaning, including using the commercial detergents. However, as you may know they contain a lot of chemicals, which are not healthy for your small home environment. On the contrary, there are also eco-friendly ways of cleaning glass.
Eco-friendly Ways of Cleaning Glass
One of such methods is using vinegar. As you may already know vinegar has a lot of properties. It can be used in food as well as in cleaning. To clean the glass with vinegar you will need to prepare a solution of 50 % vinegar and 50 % water and pour it into a spray bottle. Now, to clean the glass surface, you will first need to dust it then clean the glass by spraying the solution on the surface and wiping it with dry cloth.
Another popular glass cleaning method is using rubbing alcohol and water solution. Now, to make the mixture, you will need to pour 1/2 cup of rubbing alcohol in a quart-size spray bottle and dilute it with water. Use it as described above. To finish off, clear the glass with newspaper.
Citrus is our third eco-friendly option of cleaning the glass. Take one lemon and squeeze the juice into a spray bottle with water. Add two drops of natural liquid dish detergent and 1/2 of baking soda. Shake the bottle and spray the mixture onto the glass. Another way to clean glass with citrus is to add 2 teaspoons of fresh-squeezed grapefruit or orange juice to water. This way you can clean glass with no hazards in your home environment.
