Irish Inspiration: Olann
Olann collection is a unique furniture designs that take its inspiration from the Irish traditional craft of knitting. Guess who is responcible for these wonderful furniture pieces?!
New Furniture Collection by Claire-Anne O’brien
Yes, of course Claire-Anne O’brien is the one, who is responcible. Taking too serious ancient Irish traditions, she transforms this beautiful craft into designing the beautiful furniture pieces. The Irish born designer, Claire-Anne O’brien has incorporated beautiful and ancient patterns of Aran jumpers, fishing knots and willow baskets into contemporary craft.
Originally, Olann means wool from Irish, and the furniture is true to its word – it is made from british wool. The collection is represented by a bench, an ottoman and a chair, each different and unique in design and pattern. Claire-Anne O’brien once again has taken craft to the totally different level, because she had used eco-friendly materials such as coconut fibres, unspun wool and duck feathers instead of polyester fillings and foam. You would not be surprised to know that each piece is made by hand, unique and local.
