Who would have thought that a top storey apartment in Arlington, Virginia could be transformed into incredible dwelling with an evident Parisian allure. Today we are going to get inspired by the amazing flat, renovated by one of its owners, Nicole Lanteri, a lawyer in the past who is currently an interior designer.
Amazing Paris-inspired Loft in Arlington
When this couple first moved from New York to the calm life of Arlington, their first impulse was to buy an apartment, which would be on the top floor, so that they won’t be forced to face construction works, if there were any. So, acquiring this apartment was their joy, but more excitement came later, when Nicole Lanteri, who also happens to be co-owner of the apartment along with her husband Aaron Trent, started to renovate the flat.
To expand the space of the loft-like apartment, Nicole has used natural light. Although not very into DIY projects, Lanteri enjoys repurposing and has a natural feeling for this. As we can see, there are tons of repurposed objects in the apartment, including these lovely chairs, which are used as bookstands. The house is full of old stuff, which was either bought on flea markets or online – which is now repurposed and refurbished.
Her inspiration for décor, Lanteri draws from multiple sources, including different interior design magazines, which can be found in abundance in her home. There are also books on different cities, that come from all around the world. However, the most of her inspiration comes from Paris, and that’s why we see so many details reminiscent of this charmng city. The apartment is breathing with color and light, offering a very natural and creative atmosphere.
In general, the décor of this apartment is a challenge, as was the initial construction of interior. Lanteri confessed, that they had troubles with certain aspects of furnishings, like a bike in the bedroom that was hanging on the wall, and now just parked there. These little details make the essence of the apartment and share its Parisian allure with the guests and owners.
