Charles de Lisle dedicated 25 years to design, creating furniture, accessories while managing to develop his own distinct style. He likes to work with wood, metal, plaster, bronze and even fabric. Lisle’s versatile interests could be explained by his childhood which was spent in rural Massachusets area exploring the woodworks of the natural landscapes.
Among his famous works are Maximo Bistro, William Wurster Ranch in Portola Valley California, mountain retreat in Montana, chainsaw mirror, scout dining chair, scout cocktail chair, chainsaw chair, painted sophie table lamp with string shade and a lot of other objects. In interior design he seems to enjoy geometric patterns, neutral colors with some strong accents, and contemporary decorating. However, his interior design is not entirely neutral, they usually have an interesting furniture piece that becomes a grand focal point in the whole picture. Charles de Lisle, a relatively young designer that does progressively well in his field, bringing inspiration to the people.
