Unusual Christmas Tree from Plates!

If you think about original ways to decorate your indoors or outdoors, and you are not really excited about alternative christmas tree solutions, here is what you can do: make a christmas tree out of kitchenware appliances! Perhaps it was one of the perfect solutions to make use of single plates and cups that just don’t belong to any proper table setting, who knows? But imagine a tree that rises up to 9 meters and is displayed in the main square of the city!

You know that ancient tradition to display the huge tree in the center of the city? Well, Inge Vanluyd and Stefan Vanbergen of the creative agency Mooz in collaboration with Hasselt city administration in Belgium and local citizens have presented an amazing contribution to the Christmas decoration of the city this year. The guys from MOOZ have designed a giant tree out of white porcelain cups and plates! Technically the porcelain was specifically white, with occasional blue or gold decorationgs or trims, which was made to make the tree luminous and somewhat ethereal. Now at the central square of Hasselt, Belgium stands the magnificent beauty thats sparks of creativity, functionality and unconvential design. Having 9 meters in height and 6 meters in diameter, the Hasselt Christmas tree is sparkling with 5000 items of porcelain kitchenware! Not only Inge Vanluyd and Stefan Vanbergen participated in the creation of an unusual tree, but also other relatives or friends, the regular citizens of the Hasselt city, who shared their unusued crockery! This is an outstanding example of how citizens united into a creative force to make something beautiful for the great holiday!
