4th of July Safety Tips: Fireworks
Summer is a season for fun and holidays, specifically the greatest holiday of all – the Independence day! Apart from all the fun, decorations, barbecue parties and much more there is a fire threat lurking. Here you will find out about the basic safety tips for the fourth of July. Be safe and take care of your loved ones.
4th of July Fireworks Safety
Although one of the universal rules of the fireworks safety is to stay away from them and enjoy the public fireworks performed by the professionals, the temptation is too big to resist it, right? Well, if you can’t stay away from the fireworks – at least purchase the legal ones, so that you are absolutely sure they have been approved for use.
The right storage of the fireworks devices is also important. Make sure that you store them in a cool dry place away from flammable materials. Once you get them out to light, make sure to wear glasses. When you are lighting the firework device please make sure that you stand to the side and have a place to run away from the spot. Once the fuse is lit you should immediately get away from the place to the safe distance. You should also know that the sparkles burn at about 2000 Fahrenheit so please keep the children away from the device.
You should also have a garden hose or a water bucket handy in case something goes not as planned. Once the fireworks are over, leave the duds for about 20-30 minutes and only after that you should soak them. Never relight the device as they are not intended to be used twice. So, these tips are quite easy but some fail to follow them and end up in the hospitals. Happy 4th of July and be safe!
