Amazing Vessel Bathtub By Splinter
Are you crazy for the amazing bathtub designs? Splinter Works design studio has created an incredible bathtub from carbon fiber that appears to be floating in the air like a hammock. This bathtub is a perfect combination between contemporary design and ultimate relaxation.
Vessel Bathtub: Key To Relaxation
Gorgeous Vessel Bathtub
If you enjoy being in the outdoors and relaxing in a hammock, you will probably appreciate the hammock design of the tub. As you can see, the bathtub is not touching the floor, so you might ask how does it gets full and where does the waste water flows? Well, the bath is filled with a floor standing tap and the used water flows through the base into floor drain. However, a downpipe drain can also be installed if you don’t have a wet room setting possible. As mentioned by Miles Hartwell, Co-founder of Splinter Works:
Struck by the synergy between the shapes of two compelling symbols of relaxation, a hammock and a bath tub, we were inspired to develop a piece that would provide the ultimate vehicle for total escapism. With its clean lines and curvaceous shape, Vessel takes stylish relaxation to a new level!

Beneath the carbon fiber of the surface there is a foam core that insulates the tub – so that means that the bath stays warm for a long period of time. Isn’t that what we dreamed of when relaxing in the bathroom? The Vessel bathtub is designed to be suspended from wall to wall in what appears to be rather ‘narrow’ space. Well, in fact the bathtub is about 3 meters long, so it is not really that narrow. Although on the picture above we see a black version of the Vessel, there are also red, blue, yellow, pink, bronze and pure silver.
