DIY Halloween Decor
It is Halloween soon, well not soon enough! We still have some time to get involved into DIY projects. In this post we would discuss several different DIY ideas, specifically focusing on pumpkins on how to make Halloween a special holiday for everybody.
The first project is concerned with pumpkins! As an official symbol of the season, and Halloween in particular, pumpkins are very widely used. This project is about making that pumpkin in mercury colored version. You will need: glass pumpkin, Looking Glass Spray Paint, spray bottle with water, painters tape, a plastic bag. Now, you need to put a plastic bag with a painter’s tape around the pumpkin. Spray the inside of the glass pumpkin with water and then spray paint, then roll the pumpkin so that the mixture of paint and water would create a faux mercury effect. Do the same procedure twice and after it is dry, your mercury glass pumpkin is ready! Remember that this procedure can be done with anything glass, even the cups!
Another awesome idea would be about making the undead pumpkins. For this project you need miniature saw, Small pumpkin (preferably white)
Plastic eyeballs, Thumbtack or pin.Now you will need to hold the saw at an angle and start carving out space for the eyeballs, make sure that the diameter of eyes is slightly smaller than the eyeballs. Now to get that creepy smile, first make a template for it, then transfer it and cut along it. Now put the eyeballs into the holes. And your undead pumpkins are ready!
Now, other DIY ideas include making rustic pumpkins, by wrapping them with burlap! Or if you want the chic effect, you can cover your pumpkins with some lace fabric. Of course, one of the simplest last minute DIY Pumpkin idea is to make pumpkins out of oranges! So, be creative and spend your time wisely, preparing for this great holliday.
