Christmas Decorations From Your Backyard
With Black Friday passing, you know it’s almost three weeks till Christmas. And while you have plenty of time to think about decor, this is a great time to start gathering up pine cones, twigs and branches and think what to make with them. Here are a few ideas on DIY Christmas decorations that you can find in your backyard.
A twig tree may not be as lush as the evergreens but hey, it’s cheap to make and also quite eco-friendly. Use glue and glitter or crushed stone to make it more festive and glam. Hang a few light baubles or other decorations on it and place into a vase. You can fill it up with fake snow or pine cones, which you can also scatter around your twig tree.

Here is another way to make your own Christmas tree. Find a few branch sticks of different legth (trim if necessary) and arrange in a triangle. You can fix them directly to the wall or a canvas and complete with string lights and a star. You can also fix a few decorations to the branches to make it look more festive.

If you don’t want to splurge on figurines, you can make them yourself with just a stick and some paint. For instance, these stick Santas are easy enough to make by painting the ends with red paint followed by some white and making two dots instead of drawing the whole face. Easy, cheap, and fun.

Painted Pine Cones
If there is one thing that screams Christmas almost as much as a stick candy, it’s a pine cone and there are so many ways to use it in decor. We like the cream white painted pine cones filling up and spilling from a vase as a table or mantel centerpiece.
