Incredible Stuttgart House
This is not your typical box house, it is a peculiar Stuttgart house with a literal modern twist. This twist is a main staircase that can become a gateway to each room in the house. The staircase literally flows into each room, revealing the space.
The interior is vast, opening good views of the natural landscape. The white walls and light timber allow to let in as much light as possible, playing with the idea of maximizing the space. Despite its contemporary looks, the house is very natural featuring oak flooring, natural stone and white clay stucco walls. It is also interesting to note the exterior of the house is reminiscent of the general landscape.
This is what UNStudio, the design company behind this house have to say:
Custom made features and furnishings are also integrated to blend with and accentuate the architecture. In contrast, at the core of this light and flowing structure is a multi-purpose darker room, dedicated to music, masculine conviviality, and the hunt. In this room the ceilings and walls have especially designed acoustic dark wood panels which transform from an articulated relief on the ceiling into a linear pattern as they descend the walls and meet the dark wooden floors.
