Scandinavian School House
This house is not only charming, it has personality of it own. Well, not literally of its own, it is the personality of the designer behind it, the famous Swedish calligrapher and designer Ylva Skarp. In creating this beautiful house she used all her imagination to turn calligraphy art into interior decorating. Located near Leksand in Dalarna, Sweden, this house has a beautiful view on the nearby lake and another amazing fact is that this house has a history of being a school!
Take a look at these intricate details, that make this house incredible! It has a lot of texture, patterning details, and wide range of material choices: wood, stone, glass, fur, fabrics. The house is tradionally white in the background, but with a lot of grey accents. Wood and distressed furniture make this house very homey and comfortable. Skarp as a designer aslso used a lot of black in accenting, but that is also something typical for Scandinavian interior design. Isn’t this school house just amazing?
