Massive Outdoor Archipelago House
Another intriguing massive box house with a focus on the outdoors, the Archipelago house presents the amazing blend between architecture, sustainable development and natural environment.
Tham & Videgård Arkitekter Project
The Archipelago house constructed by Tham & Videgård Arkitekter is an intriguing project in terms of its placing. Located on the Stockholm archipelago, the house is standing on the flat surface between the two mountains. The house blends in genuinely with the exterior and offers the splendid view on the Sea. This summer house is presented in two materials: glass and wood.
It is a three layer building, offering maximum vistas from any angle. The interior design is somewhat neutral Nordic, with light timber of furnishing choices, focusing mostly on the view and its location. It is also interesting to note the zig zag shape of the building, as it not only offers the unique locations, but also protects the house from harsh weather conditions. The house is purely horizontal in position, orienting toward the sea with the trees being the vertical lines.
