Handmade Tableware Accessories Inspired By Colorful Fruits
It began simply with an appreciation of the beauty of fruit skin and a strong desire to utilise it in any way. A pineapple fruit bowl, avocado vase, orange jar, and a banana bowl look beautiful because of their attractive natural textures and vibrant colours. This innovative design concept offers functional tableware and decor items that are made with natural meterials for eco-friendly interior decorating. The surface really feels like fruit skin when you touch it, thanks to colorful resin that naturally imitates fruit skins. When Italian design duo Erika Zorzi and Matteo Sangalli from Mathery were creating the collection, they didn’t just draw scetches of vases and bowls, they used real fruits’ skins for first prototypes of the collection.
We are interested in the functionality of objects and the story and meaning behind them. We want to create functional products that are charged with meaning.”
-Zorzi and Sangalli said about creating the Fruit Ninja Tableware collection.
All items in the collection are manufactured not only in natural colors, but also in the most unpredictable ones. For example, pineapple punch bowl comes in pink and blue colors. Each object is a unique copy of design created from fruit skins and made of resin, that’s why all items in the Fruit Ninja collection appear fresh and remarkably familiar. Fruit Ninja tableware collection is an inventive mix of materials, technologies and all-natural appearances. The gathering of vases, bowls and dishes will make distinctive accents in your eco style interior design.
