Concrete Lamp That Comes With A Stone To Break It
Everyday designers all over the world surprise us with new smart inventions which are everything but ordinary. Romanian designer Dragoc Motika invented an interesting and unusual concrete lamp which comes with a stone: the owner of the lamp is supposed to break a part of a lampshade to expose a metal grid, creating a unique pattern on a background.
Make (Or Break) Your Own Lamp
Dragoca Motika’s “Slash” lamp is perfect for those who need to unwind after a hard work day, as well as for fans of everything brutal and industrial. Lamp has a cylindrical lampshade made of concrete, contrasting lamp holder made of cork and black-and-white cord. And of course the stone, the one you use to break the concrete.
Designer gives you a choice – leave it as it is, or strike several blows on a concrete lampshade, creating a pattern on a background of metal grid.
“By breaking the lamp you become its creator – explains Motika. – Leaving it intact, you choose a serial product, because you think it is completed.”
Industrial theme is kept in all the details of the lamp: especially in wooden reel for the cord which is also included in the kit. If desired, it can be mounted on the ceiling or on the wall, so you can stretch the cord into the part of the room where you want your lamp to light.
This lamp doesn’t only fit in industrial style apartments and lofts. It can become a unique accent in your home’s interior design. And of course it will totally become your stress reliever.
